Widespread food support

The project envisages the activation of a widespread supplementary feeding network consisting of at least five feeding-platforms distributed throughout the park. These small structures will be managed with the collaboration of local farms and livestock breeders, who will supply them with butcher's scraps against a reimbursement of expenses. Various initiatives will inform the farms located near the red kite reintroduction area about the project and verify their willingness to collaborate. The feeders will support the new red kite population and encourage its expansion. This availability of food will also support other species of necrophagous raptors. The use of the feeders by the raptors will be monitored by photo-traps.
