It was a lively, animated celebration, full of sounds and colors, which took place on May 31 in Condofuri and Roghudi (RC) for the awarding of prizes to as many as 900 pupils from the State Comprehensive Institutes of Bova Marina Condofuri and Melito di Porto Salvo who participated in an educational course having the red kite as its protagonist.
The initiative, held as part of the LIFE MILVUS project, provided 68 classes at the two institutions with educational interventions that raised awareness of the red kite and the important ecological role played by raptors.
At the close of the trail, curated by the operators of the Cima Greaca srls company, a drawing contest was launched, which was very well received. A total of 67 works were produced by the pupils: a profusion of drawings, posters, poems, bas-reliefs and even an ebook were dedicated to the red kite and various naturalistic aspects of the Park.
All the enthusiastic pupils were presented with a certificate of participation and a souvenir gadget during two events held in Roghudi and Condofuri school buildings in the presence of the headmasters of the two institutions involved Irene Manfrici and Antonella Borrello and the deputy mayor of Roghudi municipality Antonino Maesano.
Ninety pupils from ten classes received a special prize for 12 works that were deemed the most appreciable in terms of creativity and techniques used.
